Tribute to work after floods

TRIBUTE has been paid to South Shropshire Furniture Scheme which worked with the district council to help families who had suffered flood damage last summer.

They were among those to be recognised for their efforts of charities and volunteers in helping those in greatest need at a Downing Street reception with Floods Recovery Minister John Healey.

Twenty-nine charities and voluntary organisations who raised money and gave practical help were represented at the event.
